A Level visit to exhibition “Cut from same cloth” at the SAYLE GALLERY

The Year 12 Art students recently went on a visit to the Sayle Gallery to view the work of Alice Fayle in the exhibition “Cut from the same cloth”

Miss Fayle, an ex students of SNHS, discussed the themes of her work with the students and the journey she had taken from art at SNHS, her degree at Ravensbourne in London exploring printed fabrics, to producing designs that have been used by the international fashion house, Bally.

The students gained a valuable insight into the world of a practising artist and freelance designer as well as the incentives to return to the Isle of Man and work in the creative arts industry here.

Emily Taylor a Yr 12 student said “ I didn’t realise that art could lead to so many career opportunities. Alice really has opened my eyes to new possibilities”
