Fantatstic, Fantastic Mr Fox

St Ninian’s students in Year 7, 8 and 9 thrilled audiences with their utterly engaging production of Fantastic Mr Fox in the final week before the Easter break. Now that we are back at school, it is possible to congratulate the cast more personally and thank them for their consistent hard work in the build up to a polished and natural performance. The imaginative reconstruction of the lower school assembly hall into a scaffolded traverse stage provided a new dimension to our traditional presentations and allowed the audience to really become involved in the action. The musicians were a delightful accompaniment to the staging, contributing a flow through transitions and scene changes, as well as dynamic to the action. The creativity of costume and makeup added to a performance where storytelling was most important, and the acting quite delightful, all held together by a fantastic Mr Fox.
